The Lessons

The lessons are tailored to what you hope to achieve, whether this be to progress through the grades or to learn for pleasure. As a secondary school teacher, I have excellent training and experience in ensuring that lessons are well structured, with a focus on challenge, pace and progression. Alongside pieces of music, you will improve your technique by learning exercises and, if the lessons are for your child, playing educational music games. You will also learn how to read chord symbols, how to improvise and how to compose your own pieces of music, should you be interested in learning this. For children, I also offer the opportunity to use Piano Maestro, a fun and innovative app, in the lessons. This app also supports students in their home learning.
